Overview 

Every year at Microsoft, we acknowledge exceptional visionary teachers who have introduced innovative technologies in imaginative ways into the curriculum to support students and improve learning outcomes for tomorrow.

This year, eight teachers (one individual winner from each state and territory) will be recognised and rewarded through Microsoft’s Innovative Teachers Award. This year’s Innovative Teachers will fly to the Microsoft Asia Pacific Innovative Teachers Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 9-11 June 2009. A national winner will also be selected from this group to attend the Worldwide Microsoft Innovative Teachers Conference in 2009.

So remember, this award is much more about innovation than resources, so it doesn’t matter if you’re using a little ICT or a lot, it’s the inspiration and innovation that matter.

The Innovative Teachers Award is open to teachers in Australian schools only.
